The Wedding Party
Melissa Nelly
Sister of the Bride Being sisters, there was no question who would be Aleisha’s maid of honor. Technically, Aleisha never even asked Melissa, but she didn’t need to. It was something they always talked about and it was just known. Melissa is the “bestest” friend anyone could ask for. There aren’t enough words to describe her or enough hours in the day. She is someone who will be a part of our lives forever and we are honored to have her represented in our wedding. Thank you so much Melissa for being who you are. We’ve had so many memories together and can’t wait to make future ones. You mean the world to Aleisha, (Darren too). |
Victoria O’Brien
Cousin of the Bride Vickie and Aleisha have always had a special bond. Being the oldest girl cousins may have had something to do with it. Vickie is the most genuine person you’ll ever meet. When you talk with her, she devotes her full attention to you, as if you’re the only one in the room. She’s a wonderful mother to Jack and Evan and her devotion to family is a top priority. All the more reason Aleisha and Darren are thrilled to have her in their wedding! “We are family.” Thanks for your love and support! |
Suzy Matkowski
Friend of the Bride Suzy and Aleisha have known each other for about 10 years. They met playing soccer at Keene State College and have been teammates on and off the field ever since. Suzy is a fantastic friend. Whenever you need advice, a little help, or just some fun, she’s the one you can count on. Suzy is the type of person who thinks of others first, which is why she’s such a great third grade teacher. Aleisha and Darren are honored that she’s going to be part of the BIG DAY! Thanks Suz! :-) |
Steve Cerny
Friend of the Groom Darren met Steve while working at West School Elementary, where they both taught third grade. Even though they no longer work together, they’ve remained great friends. Over the years they’ve had many adventures both in and out of the classroom, whether it was open house nights at school, poker weekends with the guys, golf outings, or house renovations. Darren and Aleisha are so happy that Steve will be a part of the wedding and is able to share this special day with them. |
Ted Banucci
Friend of the Groom Darren met Ted way back in elementary school, and they’ve been fast friends ever since. Growing up in New Canaan, they spent countless hours playing pick up basketball games in Ted’s driveway, challenging each other on multiple video game platforms (Sega Genesis was always their favorite), and debating which band rocked harder—Led Zeppelin or Rush. Even though they live on opposite sides of the country now, their friendship has still lasted. Darren and Aleisha are thrilled he can make it to Rhode Island, and be part of their special day. |
Emma and JT Nelly
Niece & Nephew of the Bride Emma (6) and JT (3 ½ ) are the niece and nephew to Aleisha. With Emma’s smile and JT’s kisses, these 2 were perfect candidates for a flower girl and ring bearer. When Darren and Aleisha got engaged, Emma asked, “Will I get to be the flower girl?” Who could say no to that! Of course JT does everything Emma does, so, who could leave him out. Thank you to Kim and Joe for your help and support. We are super excited to have these cute little love bugs share our special day with us. |
Ella and Alex Heistercamp
Niece & Nephew of the Groom Ella (5) and Alex (2 ½) are the niece and nephew to Darren. Darren and Aleisha are thrilled to have them help out on this special day. Hopefully some of the flowers will be pink (Ella’s favorite color), and Alex’s outfit won’t clash with his blue hoodie (his favorite article of clothing). No matter—Aleisha and Darren are sure no matter what the clothing or color of the flowers, the day wouldn’t be complete without these two great kids. |
